We've had many people ask how to identify between the male and the female Osprey.

Female Osprey

This image (above) shows the female, sitting alone on the nest. Note the speckling on her chest, which some have described as a "necklace."

This image (above) shows the male coming in for a landing on the nest, with the female already on the nest. Note, on the male, the plain white chest.

Original Nest

We found this picture of the original nest atop the light pole on the athletic field at the high school prior to the construction for the new building.
