Principals

  1. While a raptor is in our care, we will strive to provide an environment for it that resembles its natural habitat when possible.
  2. If a raptor comes under our care whose injuries are likely to cause it lifelong discomfort or pain, would prevent it from thriving even as an educational bird, or meet federal or state law requiring it, the bird will be euthanized promptly, safely, and humanely.
  3. We will establish, at any given time, an appropriate capacity for care, based on our facilities and our staff, and we will not accept further patients beyond that capacity, except for urgent care and subsequent transfer to another facility.
  4. We will never allow practices or behavior within our facility that jeopardize the health, safety, welfare, or reasonable comfort of our patients, our staff, our volunteers, or our visitors.
  5. We will not tolerate any discrimination of any kind, including race, gender identification, sexual orientation, weight, age, ability, etc.
  6. Our facility will be well maintained, stocked, equipped, and clean.
